OCPG is creating an Advisory Board to assist in achieving the goals set in our new strategic plan.
As OCPG grows, as does the need for expertise and resources. The Advisory Board will be a group of individuals who offer will strategic opinions on specific aspects of OCPG’s operations. They will have no fiduciary duties or legal responsibility for the organization’s operations, but their advisory services will be important to help OCPG handle its legal, financial, or managerial responsibilities.
Advisory Board Members will not be required to commit to attend meetings or join a committee. Rather, they will be called on to provide guidance and expertise as needed in the following areas:
Business/Finance
Media/Communications
Politics/Policy/Advocacy
Prevention
Treatment/Recovery
Safer Gambling (RG)
Research
Education/Curriculum Development
Institutional Memory
Contract Review/Legal Support
While experience with problem gambling is required for areas of mission delivery, it is not needed for those able provide legal, finance or media guidance.
Advisory Board Members will have their names listed on OCPG’s website and will be invited to represent OCPG as desired at events and conferences. Advisory Board Members will also be eligible to apply for OCPG’s Board of Directors after six months of service.
